HELIOS Klinikum Berlin-Buch
The HELIOS Klinikum Berlin-Buch combines highly specialised medicine with extra convenience. The modern diagnostic and treatment options are available for all the patients. Max-Delbrück-Center (MDC)
Located in the northeastern part of Berlin on the campus of Berlin-Buch, the Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) combines basic biomedical research and clinical research. The aim of interconnecting these areas is to translate the findings about the development of diseases as quickly as possible into clinical application. This is why the scientists at MDC work closely together with the Robert-Rössle-Krebs-Klinik and the Franz-Volhard-Herz-Kreislauf-Klinik of the Charité, the Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and the Campus Berlin-Buch, located in close proximity. With regard to patient care, they are integrated in the Helios Klinikum Berlin. There are numerous connections between MDC and these clinics in Berlin-Buch. Clinicians are in charge of research groups at MDC; MDC scientists and clinicians coordinate projects; MDC supports research in the clinics and offers a special training programme to young clinicians who want to work in basic research.
